A native of West Texas, Hunter Davis grew up in the small town of Andrews near the Midland and Odessa area. Always needing to perform, Hunter knew at an early age that he wanted to be an actor and go into the field of entertainment.
Hunter became heavily involved with theatre from middle school through high school. In high school he was a major participant in the Drama Club and performed in multiple plays including Rumors, The Crucible, and Into the Woods. Hunter participated in UIL Prose and One-Act Play, receiving All Star Cast nods for Our Country's Good. He also wrote and performed notable sketches for pep rallies and school events.

After receiving scholarships for both Theatre and Art, Hunter attended Midland College. There he became an active member at the Midland Community Theatre as well as the Odessa Globe Theatre, one of the few functioning replicas of William Shakespeare's famous playhouse. He played leading roles in Charley's Aunt, Dangerous Liaisons, and portrayed Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet at both MCT and the Globe.
Once his degree in Theatre was completed at Midland College, Hunter transferred to the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Texas in Austin. At UT Hunter had a heavy emphasis on playwriting and screenwriting while pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in acting. During his time spent in UT’s drama program, Hunter had prominent performances in productions of The Last Word and Cymbeline. He also wrote and produced his one-man show, The Hunter Davis Christmas Special, to much acclaim. After graduation, Hunter moved to Los Angeles to further and continue his career.
More recently, Hunter has worked with the Long Beach Shakespeare Company and the Hayworth and Morgan-Wixson theaters while taking classes at the Groundlings School of Improv and the Act Now Studio. Additionally, Hunter has kept steadily involved with several independent productions and film and theatre projects as a writer, performer, director, and producer. As of lately, this has lead to a strong following on YouTube and Facebook with Hunter's work featured on G4's Attack of the Show and Web Soup as well as Last Call with Carson Daly on NBC.
He is also currently working on his second full-length screenplay after completing a 15 minute short that's now entering production. When not writing, Hunter continues to pursue film, television, and theatre work in the Los Angeles area with a strong emphasis on delivering not only quality, but creative contributions to the entertainment field as well.
